This is the coveted two-screw line guard version - a classic from Hardy's Lightweight series, a 1960s Alnwick-built Hardy English reel. The LRH is a 3 and 3/16-inch diameter reel, great for anything from a four to a six-weight fly line - depending on your backing and preference.This specific reel is a working-condition example of the reel, which dates pre-1972 - when Hardy apparently switched over to a single-screw type line guard and different paint finishing on later Lightweight series reels. Though you will notice honest wear on the reel's finish, the spool spins evenly (without wobble) with a classic resolute Hardy click.
