Series of four copper plate engravings by William Hogarth entitled \"The Election\":
Plate 1: An Election Entertainment, 1755Plate 2: Canvassing for Votes, 1757Plate 3: The Polling, 1758Plate 4: Charing the Members, 1758
All four engravings are framed and matted. The frames and mattings are vintage, likely from the early 1960s.
Each frame is29.5\" L x 25.5\" W.
These engravings are being sold as part of an estate sale and are, to my knowledge based on insurance information from the original owner, originals. However, I do not have a certificate of authenticity and have not independently appraised the artwork. The appear to be in excellent condition, although I have not removed them from the frames.
