This estate fresh original handwritten autograph letter signed (ALS) by legendary Hollywood actress Irene Dunne is personally addressed to cinematographer Joseph Walker. The letter is written on elegant \"IRENE DUNNE\" embossed stationery and includes the original hand-addressed envelope.
In the warm, personal letter Irene Dunne mentions sending a remembrance from New York, references Mr. Grippin, expresses that she misses Walker and “the boys,” and thanks him for his work on her films. The letter closes with “My sincerest thanks to you always for what you have done for me. Sincerely, Irene Dunne.”
This piece has been professionally authenticated by PSA/DNA, with the PSA sticker affixed to the back of the letter.
Provenance is excellent. The letter comes directly from the family of Joseph Walker, the Academy Award-nominated cinematographer who worked with Irene Dunne on multiple films and was the first recipient of the Academy’s Gordon E. Sawyer Award.
The letter and envelope are in good vintage condition with normal mailing folds. Ink remains bold and fully legible.
