Titanic J Peterman Company Rose's (Kate Winslet) Butterfly Hair Comb This comb is the ONLY LICENSED REPRODUCTION of the comb "Rose" wore in the 1997 film, "Titanic." IT IS LICENSED BY 20TH CENTURY FOX AND THE J. PETERMAN COMPANY. This unique haircomb is one of the MOST sought after TITANIC movie props; RARE and nearly impossible to find. The certificate of authenticity is pictured. Gracefully packaged in a dark blue box, satin lined, and stamped, J. PETERMAN CO. on the lid. The reverse side of the butterfly comb is stamped, "1998 FOX." This lovely collectible is a Tiffany-like Butterfly motif on the comb, with a brass oxidated plating, with black, sea green, and a milky transparent expoxy. The body of the butterfly is accented with an adventurine cabochon and a black, faceted stone. ADVENTURINE IS A TRANSLUCENT, GREENISH, QUARTZ MINERAL, THAT IS INTERNALLY GRANULAR, OFTEN IT IS MISTAKEN FOR JADE. The cabochon is a domed gemstone, highly polished, a curved surface,without faceting. The collectible is beatifully finished with a plastic, simulated tortoise comb. it is 4" x 4."
