The third and final volume of Winstanley\'s history of the University of Cambridge. Red cloth hardcover in the original pale-green Cambridge University Press dust jacket (publisher-stamped \'Prices Cancelled\' on the rear panel; the jacket is NOT price-clipped), protected in a removable mylar sleeve. Provenance: from the personal library of the historian William Brown Patterson - scholar of the English Reformation and author of \'King James VI and I and the Reunion of Christendom\' (Cambridge) and \'William Perkins and the Making of a Protestant England\' (Oxford) - with his bookplate on the front pastedown; one of several books from his library offered here. Condition: ACCEPTABLE - a worn but complete and sound copy: the red cloth is faded and rubbed, the spine ends are frayed with small tears, there is heavy foxing to the endpapers and page edges, and the jacket shows edge wear, small chips, and a scuffed area where a label was removed.
