This is an original Mitchell 498X Pro (Special) from the late 1990s — one of the rarest and most sought-after Mitchell spinning reels ever produced. Released only briefly (circa 1997–1998) and available exclusively through select European special-order channels, these reels are extremely scarce today, especially in brand-new, unused condition.
Condition: Brand new, never fished, never used. Comes without the original box but is complete and in pristine condition. Stored carefully and shown here with its original green velvet pouch. Cosmetics and mechanics are excellent.
