Matching Israeli M1949 Bayonet Scabbard German Marked Frog K98 Bayonet Clone:
$270.00
Israeli I.D.F. M1949 bayonet, scabbard, and frog. The bayonet and scabbard are noticeablely heavier than a K98 Bayonet. These bayonets were the first ever produced by the I.D.F. These were only produced in the year 1949 due to the massive influx of german K98 imports due to the independence day war, and a massive shortage of bayonets. This production run was halted due to massive imports of german surplus bayonets from the war. The maker is Ramat HaSharon, now known as Israel Military Industries. it is paired with the m1949 scabbard, and a german-made frog that was stamped by the germans during the war, and reissued by Israeli forces. The scabbard has been with the frog for as ling as I can tell. There is Hebrew under the frog, but I do not want to take the frog off due to possible leather tearing. A real rare piece of intertwined german and early Israeli history.
