A charming small framed vintage reproduction of Maxfield Parrish\'s A New Day, also associated with the title Afterglow, featuring a snow-covered New England farm nestled among rolling hills.
The brilliant turquoise sky, blue snow, lavender shadows and warm pink light are unmistakably Parrish. Small glowing windows provide a wonderful contrast to the cool winter landscape, creating the luminous quality that makes his later landscapes so appealing.
A New Day was produced in connection with Brown & Bigelow around 1949–1950, during Parrish\'s long association with the company. Brown & Bigelow reproduced his landscapes in calendars, greeting cards and decorative prints during this period.
This particular example has been attractively framed on a small scale in an ornate gold-tone frame accented with pale blue detailing. A white mat surrounds the image, complementing the snowy landscape beautifully.

Condition
Very good vintage condition. The image remains bright and exceptionally attractive. The frame displays nicely with minor age-related wear. The mat/print assembly is slightly loose within the frame and can shift somewhat. New backing paper and hanging wire have been added.
