Men’s late Victorian style 14carat gold cameo ring, which dates to at least 1915 based on existing documentation. White Cameo is right sided profile of a flowing haired Victorian lady with heavy detailing on an onyx base measuring 20mmx15mm. The total weight of the ring is 11.97 grams, and ring size is approx 9.5.
Condition: As attached photographs reveal, the engraved detail on each side of the band shows uniform heavy wear from original owner use over a number of years. The onyx base under magnification contains numerous minor chips from usage; these chips are not obvious to the naked eye. The white cameo contains a significant chip at the base of the nose. Overall a very presentable ring in excess of one hundred years of age with considerable use from time of purchase until the death of the original owner in 1937. A jeweler resized the band to accommodate wearing by the present owner, but the ring was never used thereafter. Resizing reduced the weight of the ring from a full 12+ grams to present weight of 11.97 grams.
