Offered here is a 1902 American edition of Mesmerism in India by James Esdaile, published by the Psychic Research Company of Chicago and London. This work documents Esdaile’s experiences using mesmerism as a surgical anesthetic in 19th century India, making it a fascinating piece of early medical and hypnotism history.
