Mint Brand New Postwar 1965 Lionel 6361 Timber Transport Car w/ Directions
Rare when these toys are still unused after 60+ years
Bought from an estate sale by an individual who owned a hobby store.
- Road Number: 6361 (Lionel Lines)
- Scale / Gauge: O / O-27 scale (1:48), 3-rail system
- Body Material: Molded green plastic frame
- Load: Three real tree log / lumber pieces
- Securing Mechanism: Blackened metal chains holding the logs
- Trucks (Variation B - Mid-1960s): Equipped with late AAR-style trucks
- Lettering: Dull-white rubber-stamped markings
Variation A (1960–1961): Molded green frame with dull-white lettering, black chains, and early AAR trucks (often packaged in an orange perforated panel box). Variation B (1964–1966): Identical to Variation A but updated with late AAR trucks, commonly sold in an orange picture box. Variation C (1968–1969): Lighter shade of green flatcar with no lettering, late AAR trucks, black or gold chains, and a Hagerstown checkerboard box.***PLEASE SEE PHOTOS***
Lionel #6361 Timber Transport Car.
This one dates from 1965. Mint brand new condition!
The wheels show no trace of wear. The plastic parts are flawless.
The surfaces still look like new and have virtually no noticeable contact marks.
The lettering is sharp. The metal parts are rust-free and have excellent original finish.
It has AAR trucks with operating couplers. The logs and chains are original.
The original box is still in excellent condition with no missing flaps (slight tear on one flap BUT still intact. There is very slight overall light wear evident.
