Moorcroft “Phoenix Bird” Vase.
A Moorcroft Phoenix Bird vase on the 99/8 shape, designed by Rachel Bishop in 1996. This vase is signed by Bishop and dated in gold 5.4.97.
This design symbolises the return of Moorcroft from a time of near closure and the struggle to survive in the 1980s to the early \'90s; appropriately, it was used on the cover of the book Moorcroft\" The Phoenix Years.In excellent vintage condition, with no chips, no cracks, or crazing. It comes complete in the original factory presentation box along with the Moorcroft certificate.This piece, like most of my contemporary boxed Moorcroft pieces, comes from a former Moorcroft retailer. They have been securely stored in their original boxes, not seeing daylight until now, thus they are in near ex-factory condition.Size: height 20.5 cm, 9 cm diam, unboxed weight 350gPlease view all the pictures as they complete the description. While I do my best to reproduce the true colours of the pieces, they will vary slightly from system to system, and in actual viewing they will vary under differing lighting.
