These need to be replaced after about 5000 coffee cups, as recommended by Miele. If your coffee brewing became noisier and you hear squeaking noises, you need the new brew unit.
Note: This brew unit is also an improved and updated version of the one used in older coffee machines.
Note: You will have tore use 2 parts from your old Brew unit, which are not affected by age orperformance of your old brew unit. Installation is simple with the instructions provided andshould not take more than few minutes of your time.

P.S. Do not use oily beans with this machine and clean your brew unit after each descale separately as recommended in your Miele maintenance book.
