This portrait by famed Australian artist Norman Lindsay featuring a nude woman holding court appeared as part of a 1967 Playboy magazine article on Art Nouveau erotica. The etching was created by Lindsay in 1923 and it was initially banned from public display.
Here's what the Playboy article had to say about the artist: "Lindsay's rococo creations --drawn during the Twenties in Australia, where the anti-sexual vestiges of Victorianism outlived its influence in Europe -- are among the most outstanding and erotic examples of this hothouse genre."
