Actual Hose Measurement Reference
A photographed RH01BK hose end measures approximately 31 mm inside diameter and 41 mm outside diameter. These measurements are provided as a reference for the photographed connection point and should not be interpreted as a single uniform diameter for every section of the molded hose.
How Wall Thickness Is Calculated: Approximate hose wall thickness is calculated using: (Outside Diameter - Inside Diameter) ÷ 2. Using the rounded measurements shown here: (41 mm OD - 31 mm ID) ÷ 2 = approximately 5 mm wall thickness per side. The 10 mm difference between outside and inside diameter includes both sides of the hose wall, which is why the approximate wall thickness is 5 mm rather than 10 mm. Important Installation & Clamp Guidance
For best results, install each hose over clean, reasonably smooth fittings. Remove old coolant residue, corrosion, scale, and debris, then fully seat the hose before installing the clamp.
Position the clamp correctly behind the fitting\'s raised retaining bead. Properly sized OEM-style spring or constant-tension clamps are recommended when they remain serviceable and the application originally used them.
When using worm-drive clamps, use properly sized, smooth-lined or silicone-safe clamps whenever possible. Tighten only enough to create a secure, even seal. Silicone hose should be clamped securely, but it should not be crushed, pinched, cut into, or visibly deformed.
Dry-fit all hoses before final tightening. Verify that each hose is properly routed without being twisted, stretched, kinked, or allowed to rub against nearby components.
After filling and bleeding the cooling system, bring the engine to operating temperature and inspect all connections. Allow the engine to cool completely, then reinspect hose seating, clamp positioning, and any signs of seepage. Adjust clamp tension only if necessary.
Do not repeatedly overtighten a clamp in an attempt to chase a small leak. Excessive pressure can deform the silicone and may make sealing worse. There is no single universal torque specification for every hose and clamp combination; follow the clamp manufacturer\'s specification when one is available.
If seepage continues, inspect the fitting condition and contact us with clear close-up and wider installed photos so we can help identify where the coolant is originating.

Honda B-Series Swap Applications:
This hose set may also be relevant to certain 1992-2000 Honda Civic and 1993-1997 Honda Civic del Sol builds using B16 or B18 engine swaps. These are engine-swap applications and are not factory Honda fitments. Compatibility depends on the radiator, engine, coolant outlets, thermostat housing, hose routing, and other components used in the swap.
Factory D-series Civic applications are not compatible with this kit. Honda Civic and del Sol references above apply only to appropriate B16/B18 engine-swap configurations where the radiator and cooling-system routing match.
