Part of my The Reclining Hours series, this original watercolor explores the shifting movement of the male figure within an otherwise quiet reclining pose.
Visible graphite construction, searching contours and transparent watercolor washes preserve the immediacy of the original figure study. The cool background wash provides contrast while allowing the figure and drawing process to remain the focus.
