VERMILION REPOSE II
An original male nude watercolor from my Vermilion Repose Series.
The reclining figure rests against a loose field of warm vermilion washes, with soft highlights and deeper shadows defining the anatomy. The open areas of paper and expressive edges preserve the spontaneous character of a traditional studio figure study.
