For sale is a pair of 1958 Amperex Bugle Boy 17mm long gray plate & square getter ECC83/12AX7 tubes in excellent condition. Lettering is approximately 95%. Etched date codes onto the bottom of the glasses are mC6/Δ8Fand mC6/Δ8K.These are genuine Philips/Amperex factory made in Heerlen, Holland tubes.
Tested on my calibrated TV-7 tube tester, these tubes tested 40/50 and 54/54 where the minimum value on the TV-7 is 32/32.A testing score of 40 indicates strong emission and mutual transconductance (Gm) relative to the TV-7 baseline, meaning the tube will function properly in audio preamp or guitar amplifier circuits.
Readings around 47 to 50 are generally considered to be in the NOS (New Old Stock) range. Please see pictures for more details.
