Offering a decorative set of three Chinese yellow-ground porcelain jars / vases, including a matching pair of lidded dragon jars and one smaller coordinating floral jar.
The larger lidded pair was purchased at sale in 2022, where it was catalogued as:
“Pair of 19thC Chinese Porcelain Vases. Pair of 19th century Chinese porcelain jars decorated with flying green and red dragon over yellow background, blue and white Kangxi mark on base, 12" H.”
The pair bears blue four-character Kangxi-style marks on the base. I am passing along the prior sale attribution, but I have not independently authenticated the age, origin, or marks. Please review the photos and make your own assessment.
The jars feature a vivid yellow ground with hand-painted style decoration, including dragons, flowers, birds, foliage, and colorful border details. They display beautifully and would work well in chinoiserie, traditional, maximalist, or Asian-inspired interiors.
