Pair vintage French wooden plaques carved in high relief
These attractive oval Folk Art plaques have been carved in high relief, each one depicting traditional French country life on a farm.
One is entitled \' L\'Arreuvor\' (The Watering Hole)and portrays various animals with their farm hands having a well earned rest in the field.The other is entitled \' Le Retour des Champs\' (The Return to the Fields) depicting a farming couple with their baby leading two oxen pulling a plough through the field.
They each measure approx. 39.5cm W x 27cm H x 4cm D
In good used condition with marks and wear commensurate with age and use. There are holes in the back where a hanger was once fitted. A replacement hanger would be needed if intended for wall hanging.The items I sell are in a used antique or vintage condition. This means they may have related flaws or defects.
