Unlike conventional fleece insulation, Polartec Alpha was developed specifically around the needs of active military users, allowing substantially greater airflow and moisture transport while still providing useful insulation.

Overall condition is very good for issued equipment. The shell, insulation, zippers, cuffs and stitching appear to be in very nice condition with no obvious major tears or structural damage.
