Designed by Philippe Starck for Emeco, these minimalist occasional tables belong to Starck’s celebrated aluminum collection for the historic American manufacturer, introduced in 2001. The collection was featured in connection with The Museum of Modern Art’s “Mies van der Rohe in Berlin” retrospective and reflects the influence of Mies through its spare, geometric form.
Constructed in lightweight recycled aluminum with Emeco’s distinctive hand-brushed finish, the tables combine a refined architectural profile with the exceptional durability for which the Pennsylvania manufacturer is known. The 18-inch occasional table was produced as model TABL-18, alongside 24-inch and 30-inch versions.
A versatile and increasingly difficult-to-find pair that can function as side tables, end tables, bedside tables, drink tables or sculptural occasional tables.
Good pre-owned condition with surface wear consistent with age and normal use. The hand-brushed aluminum finish shows minor scuffs, scratches and subtle variations in the surface, which are typical of this material and finish. No major dents, cracks or structural damage observed. Both tables remain sturdy and functional. Please review photos closely for condition and finish details.
