Condition
Lightly Played. The holo surface carries scuffing across the foil field, visible face-on under direct light and more pronounced at a raking angle. Corners are clean and the borders show even yellow with no whitening. No creases, no writing, no edge damage — the wear is confined to the foil.
Photos show the card under three different lighting angles so the foil surface reads honestly, plus the full back. What you see in those images is what arrives.
About the Set
Gym Heroes released August 14, 2000 as the first half of the Wizards of the Coast Gym block, running 132 cards built around the Kanto gym leaders. It was the first English set to attach trainer names to Pokémon and the first to print the gym leaders themselves as holo Trainer cards. Gym Heroes holos use the Cosmos foil pattern that became standard from Base Set 2 forward.
About This Card
Brock, 15/132, the holo Rare Trainer printing, Unlimited. Ken Sugimori illustrated the artwork — Brock with arms crossed against a star-flecked field, framed by the geometric shapes that run through the Gym-era trainer designs. The card removes one damage counter from each of your damaged Pokémon, a broad incremental heal built for Brock's defensive rock archetype.
Gym Heroes prints Brock twice: this holo at 15/132 and a non-holo counterpart at 98/132. Set builders chasing the holo run want this number.
Provenance
Pulled from packs as a kid, single owner since.
