This is a Precision Scientific Model 182 general-purpose laboratory water bath (cat. no. 66643-27). It has a stainless-steel chamber with a stainless gable cover, analog Temp. Set dial, rocker power switch and a red pilot lamp. It runs on 120 volts, 300 watts, 2.5 amps, 50/60 Hz. Rated from ambient to 100°C, using distilled water only. Typical uses include warming samples and reagents, incubating, melting wax or soap, and hobby use where a gently heated water bath is needed.
Condition
Used. Received from Government sale. Powers on and the pilot lamp lights. Tested only briefly: with a clip-on digital thermometer in the bath, readings climbed during the heating cycle (photos show several readings). We have not verified calibration, setpoint accuracy, or over-temperature protection, and the dial markings are 0–10, not degrees. Cosmetic wear: stains and scuffs on the cream cover, worn switch, residue where a label was removed, and an asset tag on the front panel. Power cord is original. The clip-on thermometer shown in the photos is not included. Please review all photos carefully.
Who This Is For
Hobbyists, small labs, schools, makers, and anyone who needs a basic heated water bath at a fraction of the price of a refurbished unit and is comfortable checking temperature with their own thermometer.
