Up for sale is a wonderful primitive antique document box. Rectangle. The top has a name on it - Timnah White. Some inlay. The finish is dark brown and light cognac brown.
There is a lock in front. No key present.
The inside looks like originally there was a mirror. It is no longer present.
Not sure of wood, but finish is dark brown.
Inside paint is light blue and green. Place for a an inside tray. This is no longer present.
Maybe originally had four little feet??
Measures 12” by 7” by 3 1/2” tall.
Originally purchased about 40 some years ago in New England.
Very, very good condition.
Mid to late 1800’s.
