🌱 Growing Instructions:
- Propagation: Cuttings root best in light soil in small container/4 to 6 inch pot(can use a rooting hormone). Bury the lower half of cuttings in potting soil. Keep soil moist and place in shade. It takes 4 to 6+ weeks to root.
- Soil: Prefers well-draining soil with compost or organic matter.
- Sun: Full sun to partial shade.
- Watering: Regular watering during establishment; becomes drought-tolerant over time.
- Harvesting: Pick outer leaves regularly to encourage bushier growth and prolong productivity.
- Support: As the plant grows tall, staking may help support heavy branches.
Once rooted, it can be grown in deep containers or directly in the ground.Leaves are sweeter in fall and winter after a light frost.
Note: In Warm/Hot Summer months, Cabbage moths(white) can lay eggs that hatch and the green worms attack the leaves. There are several natural ways to combat them. BT Spray, diatomaceous earth, & others. Tulle can be used to block the moths entirely.
Keep in shade to prevent transplant shock.
