RARE 1807 E.SIBLY book MEDICAL MIRROR Treatise on Impregnation of Human Female For Sale

A rare antique 1807 hardcover book "The Medical Mirror, or Treatise on the Impregnation of the Human Female, Shewing the Origin of Diseases And the Principles of Life and Death. With Remarks on the General Effects of Sea-Bathing" by the Late E.Sibly, M.D., F.R.H.S. The Fifth Edition, "illustrated by elegant copper-plates".
With the frontispiece portrait of the author, and 4 other full-page engraved colored plates (2 of which showing various Stages of Formation of the Human Fetus).
The author, Ebenezer Sibly (1751 – c. 1799) was an English physician, astrologer, Freemason, and writer on the occult.
Printed in London, For the Proprietor by Lewis and Hamblin, 1807.
Very good antiquarian condition. 8vo (8 3/4" tall) rebound in later 20th century hardcover binding - mabled boards, maroon leatherette spine and corners, gold lettering on spine. Traces of private inventory label removed from the bottom of the spine. Inside Very Good with some light occasional foxing, marginal notes in old hand on the bottom margin of 2 pages only - printed text not affected. The binding is tight, no loose, torn or missing pages, no stamps, complete with 196 pages, 5 colored plats of engravings (including frontispiece).
A rare early edition - only one copy of an earlier edition of that era is currently offered on the internet (that one being the 1st edition and commanding the price of US $12,000). From what I see at the moment, all other currently available copies are modern reprints - except this one...
