Original 1996 United Artists theatrical press kit for the classic comedy The Birdcage, directed by Mike Nichols and starring Robin Williams, Nathan Lane, Gene Hackman, and Dianne Wiest.
This is a complete (or near-complete) studio-issued promotional press kit that has been in my possession in dark, cool, dry storage since the film’s 1996 release. It has never been displayed or handled beyond careful inspection and remains in excellent overall condition. The black-and-white prints have remained in their original transparent protective sleeves since the kit was issued.

• 15 original color 35mm slides (BC-C series, photographed by Lorey Sebastian, © 1996 United Artists Pictures, Inc.) in protective plastic sheets (not all shown due to max amount of photos allows)
• Set of 7 original 8x10 black-and-white production stills with printed captions (not all prints shown, due to ’s max amount of photos allowed)
• Color captions / photo identification sheet detailing the slides
• Production notes, cast & credits information, and related studio paperwork.
All photos and slides are original studio publicity materials produced for the film’s theatrical release. The color slides and stills feature key scenes and cast members including Robin Williams, Nathan Lane, Gene Hackman, Dianne Wiest, Hank Azaria, and others.
The Birdcage remains a beloved 1990s comedy classic and an important mainstream film for its portrayal of LGBTQ+ characters and family. Original complete press kits with the full set of color slides are increasingly hard to find in this condition.
