EXTREMELY RARE vintage original BOSTON CELTICS 1974 NBA WORLD CHAMPIONS poster. Commissioned by GROUP-20 marketing team for use by advertising executives in solicitation of Boston Celtics home game 20+ person group ticket sales. Featuring color action shot photos of Boston’s biggest superstars of the day, taken inside the legendary BOSTON GARDEN. Players like JOHN HAVLICEK, DAVE COWENS & JO JO WHITE, just to name a few. Even a limited photo of Havlicek and Coach TOM HEINSOHN receiving the Walter A Brown trophy after defeating the Milwaukee Bucks. Poster includes a detailed line-up of each Celtics 1974-1975 season home game and its scheduled opponent. On the poster’s backside is information relating to group ticket sales, a blank application for purchase and a list of special discounted group ticket prices, ranging from $2 - $4.50 per person (Can’t even buy a cold drink for that price today!). The marketing ad also highlights great players from each scheduled home game’s opposing team. This is more than just a poster, it’s a time capsule! A truly rare and special piece of sports history! Beyond minor age spots on its backside, typical of paper items surviving 50+ years, the poster is in remarkably good condition. All corners & edges intact. Print colors are bright and strong. No tack holes or tape residue as poster has never been hung. Measures 23” x 33” and folds neatly in sixths.MANY ADDITIONAL 1970’s/1980’s BOSTON & NEW ENGLAND SPORTS COLLECTIBLES TO COME IN THE WEEKS AND MONTHS AHEAD… RED SOX, CELTICS, BRUINS & PATRIOTS!
