An extremely rare colonial Quaker Sammelband book printed in 1753, featuring original binding made of leather. The book, written by Daniel Roberts, was published and printed by James Chattin next-door to the pipe in Church alley and focuses on religious and inspirational topics, falling under the subject of religion and spirituality. This unique piece of history offers a glimpse into the spiritual beliefs and practices of early American Quakers and is a valuable addition to any collection of antique and collectible books… the first book is “a passionate call and hand reached forth in Tender gospel love” written by David Hall… and the other book in this Sample band is “some memoirs of the life of John Roberts” written by his son, Daniel Roberts… the only other known copy of this specific edition of “some memoirs of the life of John Roberts” printed by James Chattin…in 1753 is in a Philadelphia Quaker museum shared between the Library of Congress… also there’s provenance this book has an inscription by the original owner… A Quaker woman by the name of Esther Hunt… this edition would make a fine addition and be the centerpiece the crown jewel to anyone’s collection, whether you collect… Americana, colonial, early America, Benjamin Franklin, Quakers, or rare Books… this is a prize.
