ANTIQUE ABERCROMBIE & FITCH SNOWSHOES, ORIGINAL BRASS TAGS, CIRCA 1910
WE ARE OFFERING A WONDERFUL PAIR OF ANTIQUE ABERCROMBIE & FITCH SNOWSHOES, IN GREAT CONDITION, WITH ORIGINAL EMBOSSED BRASS TAGS. New York: Abercrombie & Fitch Co., [circa 1910]. The snowshoes measure 36 inches long, and circa 10 inches at their widest point. The pair of snowshoes are in really good condition for their age. The finish is a little mottled, 1 shoe has a tiny crack where bent wood boards meet (as pictured), the original braided hide (or gut) is in great condition, with no obvious breaks or tears. They have a wonderful patina, and would look amazing mounted on the wall of your winter cabin, or sporting room. There are 24 pictures, so please examine closely to assess condition. They seem pretty rare, as there aren’t any examples on the market currently, and this style of embossed brass tags seems particularly early and rare.

Every president from Roosevelt to Gerald Ford were customers.
