RARE EARLY LIGHTING BIG ANTIQUE NY SHAKER SINGLE CANDLE MOLD MUSEUM QUALITY AAFA For Sale

If you love rare one of a kind original handmade early lighting pieces this large antique single Shaker candle mold is fabulous and looks like it could be olde enough to have made candles for the puritans and pilgrims who first settled in New England way back when. It was probably used to make large tallow or beeswax church candles and is a wonderful bigger size. I\'ve never seen another one like it in over 35+ years of collecting early lighting and it definitely belongs in a museum or high end collection or you can use it to make beeswax or tallow candles if you so desire like we\'ve done in the past. It measures about 16 inches tall and the top is about 4.5 inches across. It will make candles that are 15 inches long and 1.5 inches wide so they will fit in the larger antique church and other holders from the 1800\'s and earlier eras. It hangs wonderfully on a peg rack when not in use from it\'s large handle and makes for a fantastic display. It was loaned to museums and other historical venues in the past and is originally from a New York Shaker early lighting collection we purchased a few years ago from a reputable dealer. If you have followed our listings here for very long you probably remember a lot of the early antique tallow candles we sold from that same collection over the years. It\'s MUCH better in person than the pics could ever show you too. It\'s still in great shape and is just amazing. When you hold it in your hands you will marvel at it\'s larger size and specific craftsmanship done by the skilled tinsmith who made it oh so long ago. The patina and honest wear makes your heart happy to know it\'s a rare survivor of many years of American progress and early lighting evolution. :)
