Here is a guide to categories that accompany each listing:
Museum - there are historical exhibits, photos,artifacts, equipment or displays relating to railroads.
Depot – this is an original 19th or early 20thcentury passenger and/or freight depot, station or terminal. Only depots withmuseums that have at least one exhibit relating to the railroad are included.
Trips – from miniature trains to scenic excursions.
Historic Site – a bridge, rail yard, roundhouse or shopsdating to the 19th or early 20th century .
Trolley – rides or displays of trolleys or streetcarsare available.
Model Trains – model layouts, generally but not alwaysoperating, or model train collection
Dinner Train – rides which include meal service as partof the ticket price are available.
