Extraordinary piece of Oregon history with a 1917 Pendleton Round-up envelope with a 1919 letter detailing the sale of a home in Portland (for $1100!). Note that the envelope is postmarked 1919 so it was apparently held on to for a few years before using.
The envelope is postmarked March 20th of 1919, which is one day after the letter was dated -- March 19th, 1919.
The Pendleton address on the letter (813 Thompson) also matches the return address on the envelope, after the printed return address was crossed out (The Domestic Laundry).
The envelope is addressed as follows...

Below is a rough transcription of the letter...
813 Thompson St
Pendleton, Ore.
Mar. 19. 1919Dear Sir
Yours of the 17th inst (?)
received.
We are quite willing to
sell you the house situate
at 365 Russet St for
the sum of $1100. on terms
of $12 per mo and 7 per cent
interest. We would have
liked $100 as first payment.
The taxes are all paid in
full and so are all street
improvements. There are
absolutely no levies or any
debts of any kind against
the property.
The present tenants
have been in occupationsince Jan 1918 and as they
have been good tenants
we would like to give
them a full month\'s notice
from their next rent day
which is the 10th of next
month if you decide to buy
the house.
We should expect the interest
to be paid with the monthly
sum. that is the installment
and interest. That is the
way Mr. Fisher at 399 Baldwin
St is paying for the house we
sold him. You may call and
see him about us if you wish
You will find us fair and
reasonable to deal with
