Thisis a rare antique 1890s line cut gutta percha ‘gutty’ golf ball. Made in St. Andrews Scotland.It was never played soits still in decent condition. Due to its age thethe 130+ year old gutta percha hasshrunk a tiny bit causing the surface paint to pucker. This has unfortunately caused the name in the circles on either side of the ball to become unreadable. Luckily because of the others that it was found with I can tell you with 100% assurance that it is a SCOTO balll. it still has 96%of its original paint, It even retains some of it's original sheen. Its an uncommon golden age ball in and would made a nice addition to a collection.
