Rare Antique Stellmacher Teplitz Art Nouveau Faience Holly Planter Bowl For Sale

A unique and rare piece of Eduard Stellmacher porcelain dating from the Edwardian Era, circa 1905 to 1907. Bares the red Stellmacher Teplitz mark as well as the model number of 1070.Model 1070 identifies this exact biomorphic, webbed-foot planter silhouette in their factory archives.

The exact red maker\'s mark was primarily used between 1905 and 1912. It indicates the piece was made after Alfred\'s son, sculptor Eduard Stellmacher, branched away from the primary Riessner, Stellmacher & Kessel (RStK) Amphora firm to open his own dedicated studio. the mark on this piece connects directly to the golden era of Bohemian Art Nouveau ceramics.

Pieces from this period are highly collected examples of central European Art Nouveau and Jugendstil craftsmanship, frequently prized for their matte textures, organic forms, and highly detailed 3D applied relief work.
