Beautiful antique Chinese gilt lacquered hexagonal wooden box for a teapot. Featuring gilt decoration all around, handle for carrying and padded interior to protect the teapot (additional section of padding on the bottom is removable and is likely supposed to go on top once the teapot is inside). Great and quite rare piece for a collection.In very good antique condition with typical age-related surface wear as photographed.
