Beautiful vintage Edna Arnow signed stoneware vase, measuring approximately 10 inches tall. This hand-thrown studio pottery piece features a deep blue and black glazed finish with expressive abstract surface decoration and visible wheel-thrown texture.
The underside retains the original Arnow Stoneware, 2229 Greenleaf, Chicago, Illinois 60645 label, along with the artist’s signature/mark.
A striking example of Chicago studio pottery and a great decorative piece for collectors of Mid-Century Modern, American studio pottery, and signed ceramic art.
Condition:
Overall in very good vintage condition. There are two very small areas of glaze loss/chipping on raised drip-like glaze details. These are minor and are not noticeable in the overall appearance of the vase. No major cracks, repairs, or structural damage observed. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.
Approximate height: 10”
Because this is a handmade studio pottery piece, variations in glaze, texture, surface irregularities, and firing characteristics are part of the original handmade character.
