One of one, Fiddleback Forge / Andy Roy (2011) small & lightweight Bushcraft Machete, made for hiking, woods, bush, field & trails...or making them. Completely hand-made by Andy Roy, he made very few of these smaller, bush machetes as most of the machetes he made are the larger, regular size & even those are all somewhat different & rare. This is an excellent & well-made example with a really nice & durable, ergonomic handle that is sculpted, formed and contoured. Hollow tube pins and lanyard hole with H.D. lanyard. Forged, hardened & tempered 1075 carbon steel, with blackened finish. Full tang, hand-honed & sharpened edge. Thick, formed, natural, rough, canvas Micarta scales for great grip. Almost all of Andy Roy's custom knives are small, EDC knives, with very few exceptions, except for some one-off, custom machetes that he made in limited numbers, for a few years. This is one of just a few he made in 2011. Excellent build, balance & weight, with integrated finger guard. Tough, durable & wicked sharp! Made for hard, "Bushcraft" & field use. Custom-made, fitted, lightweight belt sheath. 17.5'' OAL. 11.25'' blade (edge). 6'' handle.
