A rare antique original Victorian 1870 tall crown hat. The hat is made of beige straw and lavishly decorated with a floral spray and black and white ostrich feathers. The crown is encircled with white silk morie ribbon. The hat has cotton chin ties. The inside was once lined with silk but only remnants remain. The number 49 is on a paper tag inside the hat. The hat is in very good condition. There are no breaks in the straw. It sits high on the head and would be held in place with a hat pin. Head opening 21. Buyer pays shipping.
