Rhapsody Royale 17-Jewel Ladies Dress Watch — For Parts or Not Working
A vintage mid-century American fashion/costume dress watch from Rhapsody, model Royale, circa 1960s–1970s. Features a cushion-shaped cream dial with Roman numeral hour markers and black sword hands, reading Rhapsody ROYALE / 17 JEWELS. Manual-wind movement, 17 jewels.
The wide, open-link ladder/trellis bracelet has a heavily textured nugget-style gold-tone finish that gives a bold, chunky look. The case back is stamped BASE METAL BEZEL / ST. STEEL BACK — this watch is not gold or gold-filled despite its appearance.

- Dial: Heavy aging, patina, surface oxidation, and discoloration across the face. Visible smear/damage mark on lower-left quadrant. Worse than any pre-wear reference image.
- Hands: Appear oxidized/silver-grey rather than original black.
- Case back: Heavily scratched.
- Bracelet: Gold plating mostly intact with good luster; link edges show age-wear. Safety clasp appears functional.
