The screwsare 18-8 Stainless Steel to minimize corrosion and magnetism.
The screwsare ”Truss Head” which has a lower profile than round-headed screws.
These are notself-tapping screws.
Recommendstart tapping the car bolster boss #6-32 to insure that the screw goes instraight.
You willnotice that it is not necessary to drill the boss with a #36 drill bit beforetapping.
The Rivarossiand Con-Cor chassis are plastic so do no tap the boss more than 40 - 50% so the screw goes in straight.
Then installthe truck with the S6TP05S screw tohold it on.
Adjust thetightness to allow for free movement of the truck and a little bit offloppiness.
There has tobe some floppiness in the truck or the car will de-rail.
Also listed is are the MISC S6TP04S screws which are 1/16th inch shorterand have the same profile.
