Royal Bavarian Hutschenreuther Selb Bird Of Paradise Set of 6 8.5\" Salad Plates For Sale

Made in the 1920s or 1930s, this set of 6 Royal Bavarian Hutschenreuther Selb Bavaria salad plates comes from the delightful Bird of Paradise line. Featuring a pale blue band on a light white base, these porcelain beauties with golden trim boast floral and leaf motifs, as well as exotic birds in the center and in the stylized cartouches encircling the band.
In excellent condition, there are no chips, no cracks and there is no crazing on these glossy plates, which have a diameter of a bit over 8.5 inches.
Imperfections can be seen in the last 5 photos, including light utensil marks, light signs of wear or discoloration on some of the plates\' undersides (see 5th and 4th to last photos), as well as some pin point-sized spots of gold loss or tiny dings on the plates\' outer rims (see 3rd to last photo). In addition, there are transferware imperfections that are original to the plates\' production, including some areas around the bands where the pattern does not align properly or spots of transferware ink in the decoration itself where they shouldn\'t be (see last 2 photos). Finally, there are a few small scratches in the decoration on the blue band that can be seen if you are inspecting the plates up close in bright light.
