Alternative Drive Controller for Ryobi Rm480e & Rm480ex.
This is not the OEM controller, but a workable replacement.
Original OEM replacement controllers were discontinued by Ryobi.
This is an eBike controller modified to be plug and play with the rm480 mower. It is not the original equipment.
It mounts to TWO of the original mounting holes.
It has the exact plugs as the original controller.
Note that this is built to order, and may not be ready for up to 3 weeks.
Some details about this controller:
It disables the beeper.
Forward speed is a bit faster than OEM.
The \"N\" gear becomes a slightly slower forward gear, no longer neutral.
Cruise control still works, but it disables the cruise control light.
Take off from a stop has a jerk to it, almost like hitting the gas hard. Have to use the accelerator pedal softly on initial movement.
All are reasonable issues considering there is no alternative right now.
Get your mower back in working order!
Buyer will need to wrap connections securely in vinyl / electrical tape to help with weatherproofing.
