Description:A unique museum-quality item. The book is nicely signed by the author and by four other Pitcairn Islanders: H Beatrice Young, Evelyn Young, Paul Adams, and M R Adams. The signatures are on a special signature leaf bound before the front free endpaper. We have never seen a similar item.
Rosalind Amelia Young, (1853-1924) was born and died on Pitcairn. She was the great-grandaughter of two of the Bounty Mutineers, John Adams and Fletcher Christian.
The book is in very attractive condition with some light wear, fading, and bumping (see pictures). Light toning to the prelims and leaves. Internally clean. Binding sound and square. A unique and historically-important item. ..
