To make sure you can enjoy your music right away, I have personally performed the following maintenance:

• New Belt: Replaced with a high-quality rubber belt.

• Cleaning: Cleaned the head, pinch roller, gears, and internal parts.

Performance & Functions: I have confirmed the following operations:

• Playback Tested: Basic functions—including Playback, Fast Forward (FF), and Rewind (REW)—have been tested and are working properly using 7 different cassette tapes.

• Sound Quality: The playback speed is stable with no significant wow or flutter. It plays music normally with classic Sony analog sound.*Batteries are not included unless otherwise specified.*
