If you\'re looking for one of the most unique and sought-after palms in cultivation, look no further than Sabal lisa.
Sabal lisa is a rare and fascinating mutation of Sabal palmetto that develops stunning fused leaf segments, creating a distinctive appearance unlike any other Sabal. The result is a palm with a bold, architectural look that immediately stands out in any collection.
Part of what makes Sabal lisa so intriguing is the mystery surrounding it. Despite decades of cultivation, no one fully understands why some seedlings retain the famous Lisa characteristics while others eventually revert back to standard Sabal palmetto. Based on observations from growers and collectors, purchasers should understand that there is approximately a 60% chance a seedling will remain a true Lisa and a 40% chance it may eventually revert to palmetto form.
To us, that uncertainty is part of the appeal.
The beauty, rarity, and collector value of a true Sabal lisa make it well worth the gamble. Few palms generate as much excitement among palm enthusiasts, and availability is often extremely limited.
These plants are especially meaningful to us because we germinated this batch nearly three years ago and have patiently grown them out before offering them for sale. We are only releasing these seedlings now because our next community pot of Lisa seedlings is finally coming along behind them.

Important Note About Sabal lisa
Sabal lisa seedlings cannot be guaranteed to remain Lisa long-term. While many retain the beautiful fused leaflet trait as they mature, some eventually revert to standard Sabal palmetto characteristics. Current grower observations suggest approximately a 60/40 chance in favor of remaining lisa, though the exact genetics behind this phenomenon remain a mystery.
This uncertainty is one of the reasons mature, confirmed lisa palms are so prized among collectors.
