Sailor 1911 fountain pen, known as the Profit in Japan, in the slim body size. Metallic blue resin with fine sparkle suspended in the material, paired with rhodium-plated trim throughout.
The nib is Sailor's 14K gold, rhodium-plated to match the silver trim, and stamped H-B for hard broad. Broad is among the less common Sailor widths and is sought after by collectors who want a wetter, more expressive line. The nib carries Sailor's earlier engraving style with the anchor and 1911, which Sailor has since discontinued.
Cap band reads SAILOR JAPAN FOUNDED 1911. Cap top is a domed blue finial with an inset anchor medallion. Screw cap, posts on the barrel.
Measurements:
Filling is by cartridge or converter.
Note on the finish: this metallic blue with rhodium trim does not appear in Sailor's current 1911 lineup, which suggests a Japanese-market or discontinued run. The older presentation box is consistent with that.
Includes the original hinged Sailor presentation box.
Condition: excellent. No scratches, dents, chips or brassing. Rhodium trim is bright throughout. Nib is correctly aligned with no visible wear to the plating. Please review all photos, which show the actual item.
