Vintage Savory Jr. Oval Roasting Pan — Black Graniteware with White Speckled Splatter Finish
Classic two-piece enamelware roaster: oval pan base with matching domed lid. Marked Savory Jr.
Enameled steel construction with the traditional speckled graniteware finish that\'s stayed in style for generations — equally at home in the oven or on display. Savory roasters were made by Republic Metalware of Buffalo, New York, and have been kitchen staples since the early 1900s.
The domed lid traps steam and self-bastes as it cooks, keeping meat moist without constant attention. Riveted handles at each end make it easy to move in and out of the oven.
Sized for everyday meals. With a 12\" x 7.75\" interior opening and 3\" depth, this is a practical mid-size roaster — well suited to a roasting chicken, pork loin, small ham, meatloaf, brisket, or pot roast. It also works well for baked casseroles and oven-braised vegetables. At 6.5\" tall with the lid on, it clears a standard oven rack easily, and fits smaller ovens, countertop ovens, and RV kitchens where a full-size turkey roaster won\'t.
Please note this is the junior size and is not intended for a full-size turkey.
Beyond cooking, these look wonderful as farmhouse and country kitchen decor — displayed on open shelving, atop cabinets, or used as a countertop centerpiece filled with fruit, bread, or seasonal greenery.
