Details
The watch was rebuilton August 11, 2026:
- The Elgin 554 15 jewel movement was completely disassembled and cleaned in an ultrasonic bath with high quality watch parts cleaning solutions, then reassembled and lubricated with Moebius synthetic lubricants.
- The case and case back were cleaned in an ultrasonic bath.
- A new original vintage Perfit glass crystal was installed.
- The movement is running within +/- 1 minute per day (+10 seconds per day, but this is not a guarantee). This is a hairspring regulated movement, not quartz regulated, and will be subject to timing deviations caused by environmental factors, such as temperature and the wearer's physical activity.
